Rinse the rice in a colander under hot running water to eliminate the starch. Pour into a large quantity of boiling salted water, to which you have added the peanut oil. Cook for about 20 minutes. Drain the rice. Prepare a sauce: place the oil, garlic, and basil leaves in the bowl of a food processor. Add salt and pepper and process until purÄed. Place the rice in a warm vegetables dish, pour over the sauce and stir. Serve hot as an accompaniment to fish or grilled lamb.
